This is probably our biggest game of the season so far. Peterborough are six points behind us with two games in hand therefore its very important that we do not lose. Peterborough have the worst home record in the Championship having lost nine times at home. Lets hope we can make it ten.

Its a difficult game to call, you just never know what to expect from the Blues this season.

Thoughts ?

After the shite dished up against Watford and Sheffield Wednesday I'm expecting a spanking. Hope I'm proved wrong though, our away form seems to be quite good recently

I would normally expect a spanking but Posh's home form is rubbish and like you say we do tend to play a little better away from home so fingers crossed.

Peterborough have defender Craig Alcock and on-loan midfielder Davide Petrucci available after both recovered from respective knee and hamstring injuries.
Darren Ferguson is without winger George Boyd after he left the club to join promotion chasing Hull on-loan.
Birmingham manager Lee Clark has injury concerns with defender Paul Robinson and midfielder Callum Reilly who are both struggling with ankle injuries.
Striker Marlon King is also an injury doubt with an ongoing knee problem.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• Peterborough have only won two of their 13 competitive matches against Birmingham.
• Michael Bostwick scored from long range - a goal which was sufficient for all three points in the reverse fixture - and it gives Birmingham the chance of a first-ever league double over the Cambridgeshire club.
• Posh have denied the Brummies victory in all but one of their five league engagements at London Road.

Peterborough United

• Peterborough climbed off the foot of the table with Tuesday's creditable 5-1 win away to Millwall, and another maximum would see them posting three successive victories for the second time in 11 Championship outings.
• Posh are unbeaten in five at London Road (W3, D2), but should they slip up it would be a 10th home defeat of the season and 300th home loss in their league history.
• Darren Ferguson's side have now stretched the longest current continuing scoring sequence in the division to 12 matches, and Championship games involving Posh have produced an unmatched average of 3.35 goals per game.

Birmingham City

• Birmingham are looking for a first win in four and a first goal in three, and lie five places above the relegation zone, with a four-point cushion.
• Lee Clark's side have 16 fewer points than at the same stage last season, but have not lost a league game on the road in 2013.
• If they could claim their fifth away victory of the Championship campaign, the Brummies would complete the first of four possible league doubles.

Well. I haven't just got my fingers crossed, I've crossed everything else I can cross. So here goes. A possible win, as our away form is reasonably good, and the Posh aren't so good at home.

How about 2-1 to us.

Great Win lads put heart and soul into getting a result good all round performance with 3 big highlights, Jack Butland's world class double, Burke's lead up play to his Deflected Goal and of course being back in a real stand (No Seating)

Well deserved 3 pts make's up for the dismal display on Tuesday and gone a long way to helping us survive

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson: "If you're asking me whether or not the officials are good enough, the answer is nowhere near at this level.
"There were two big decisions in the game and the referee got both of them wrong as far as I am concerned.
"I see absolutely no reason why a forward would choose to go down when clean through and Nathaniel is adamant the Birmingham lad caught him.
"The assistant referee was 10 yards behind play so in no position to give a penalty while the referee clearly chose not to give one.
"I asked the referee why he didn't give the Birmingham lad a second yellow card and he said his foul was an accident, but again that's not how I saw it."

Birmingham boss Lee Clark : "You have to be delighted to win 2-0 on the road and that's certainly how I feel right now.
"A second successive clean sheet was particularly pleasing as solid defending is always the basis for success in football.
"We came here with a game plan and executed it very well. We had some outstanding performers, not least Chris Burke who has been back to his fine form of last season in recent games."

About time we had the rub of the green. Some of the referee decisions against us at home this season have been atrocious.
