Jack Butland
Surprised no one's mentioned these; Lee Clark has said Butland would be better off staying at Blues, and then according to the Daily Mail Butland will only leave for first team football:

Really hope he stays, while he's made a few mistakes he's made a hell of a lot more good saves. He is far away ahead of Doyle, and much better than myhill was last season. There have been a few matches (Leicester at home for example) where he's practically got us a point on his own.

You can already see the improvement from the start of the season to now. Playing first team football has really improved his game noticeable. I agree there is no point him sitting on the bench at a Premier League side for the next few years.

Re: Jack Butland
Butland has made some world class saves for us and if it weren't for him we could easily be in the bottom three.
Jack could replace Joe Hart as England number one some time in the future as he has the potential to become as good as if not better.

Re: Jack Butland
Always gonna be a few mistakes from a young keeper but what i believe Butland only gets better and better.
He needs first team football, so it´s better he stays and be first choice for blues than sit on the bench for some PL club.

£4m for a future England keeper who at 19 is one of the best stop-stoppers in the Championship? Already good enough for someone like Wigan imo and 10 years away from reaching his peak

Sorry but I haven;t seen anything that would indicate he is a future England goal keeper.
Yes he makes some good saves, but he also makes as many mistakes. His control of the area, kicking and decision making are really poor.
Now, I'm not saying he can't be, just saying he's not shown it as yet.

Re: Jack Butland
That's it exactly Raters he is far from a top keeper but with the right nurturing he could be
So how much is he worth based on potential, This is where the sell on percentage of any future sale would be good whoever he goes to, but will these muppets think of the future of Birmingham City or just grab what's on offer and run the latter is more my thinking.
so 4-6 mill and he's off

Re: Jack Butland
Strong rumours about Liverpool and Chelsea agreeing a fee of around 3-3.5 mill with Jack staying with us for the rest of the season.
Being sold on the cheap i only hope they add a sell on clause

Re: Jack Butland
According to Tatts Chelsea news is rubbish
Though Stoke are rumoured to be interested. Would surprise me unless they plan on moving Begovic on. If true could be interesting, seem to be a club that dont mind paying a bit for a player they want - paid £5m for fekking Jerome last year!
Facts are that no bid has come in from Butland from Chelsea, as I write this.
Burke Forest bid has been rejected, Forest board have told Eck they won't go higher.
King and Davies bid rejected, Pannu has told Moxey that they won't sell to them.
This is how it stands at present.
You will find that nationals, like Sky, tend to get their 'info' from agents, who have their own agendas and can, shall we say, over egg the pudding somewhat.
Nationals do not have the same depth of contacts at local clubs like Blues, they skim the surface, if they are actually interested at all.
I don't get 'drip fed' info from the club, I find it out myself from various sources I know tell the truth and are reliable.
Cheers

Re: Jack Butland
Butland has been sold to Stoke City.
Jack Butland is set to be loaned back to Birmingham for the rest of the season after an agreement was reached on a cash deal worth around £5million with no other players involved.
