Watford have made an offer to Birmingham City for attacking midfielder Nathan Redmond it has been revealed this morning.
The Hornets offer is believed to be around £2 million, which looks low for a player of his quality at the slender age of eighteen.
Due to Birmingham’s current financial state, they are considering offers for all their players this January window, with the likes of Marlon King, Jack Butland and Chris Burke heading for the exit door at St. Andrews.
News of the offer for Redmond, comes after Watford lost 2-0 away to lowly Bristol City last night, resting many of their first team players showing their squad needs improving if they are to challenge for a playoff spot this season.
Gianfranco Zola’s side have been a joy to watch this year after being taken over by Granada and Udinese owener Giampaolo Pozzo, who has invested in the squad, bringing in the likes of Fernando Forestieri and Matej Vydra to Vicarage Road.
It hasn’t been revaled whether a move for the Blues Young player of the season has been accepted, though if it was a feasible offer, it is expected a bidding war could break out for a player who made 37 appearances last season.
