Next up for our useless lot is a trip to the seaside for another tea time kick off at 5.30pm (Game Is not on sky). Went to the Brighton game last season and had a ball, back then (only six months ago) we were playing well (now look at us) and Nathan Redmond scored a good goal as we drew 1.1.
Brighton are a good footballing side and have kicked on from having a good return to the Championship.
Can we win?
Can we draw?
Or are we in for a defeat and another thrashing?
my team.
........................Zigic...............King................
Redmond............Gomis.............Fahey..............Burke
Gordon..............Davies............Caldwell...........Spector
..............................Butland.................................
After an hour King off & Asante on..
Gomis back in the side to give us some bite in the middle of the park.
Ambrose, Lovenkrands,Lita, Ibanez,Asante,Morrison - on bench.
Mullins - up in the stand
What say you?

If it's 5-30pm K O. Is it televised anywhere?
If it is, perhaps a close up of the crowd would confirm who's holding who's hand.

Am just wondering if its to early to play Keith Fahey from the start as his fitness looked in question v Barnsley, maybe start him on the bench bring him on in the second half at some point. So if you take Fahey out of the team who would you replace him with?
I was saying a few weeks ago that the midfield is the worse I can ever remember at the Blues.
Could play Jordan Mutch - Whoops forgot Pannu was quick to take the money for a 20 year old midfielder with his whole future ahead of him
Also this game might be suited to 4-5-1 instead of 4-4-2, so it maybe best to drop King and play five across the middle. Remember the cup game at Chelsea last season when we played 4-5-1 and we were excellent.
Lee Clark has to get this one right because if he dont the shit will really hit the fan
Thoughts?

My thoughts are that it is totally pointless thinking about teams, formations and tactics when Lee Clark is in charge. He is a buffoon and we do not think like buffoons.

You know if we were playing some decent stuff I would go the game and stay overnight - But aint going to watch us get a hammering which is the more likely outcome.

Don´t expect a win away to Brighton but I´m expect that the lads play for the badge and give Brighton a hard time.

Couldnt agree more lindis that's what I'm hoping to see can't imagine us winning with the form Brighton are in so any sort of fight and commitment would be a big improvement
Re: Brighton v Blues - Match Thread & Chat -
Got to agree, Lindis and Hootie. I can't stand teams/players who don't put up a fight. At least let's see them try.
I'd like to see a settled team, if that's at all possible in Clarks mind set.

Re: Brighton v Blues - Match Thread & Chat -
Blues have doubts about Mullins and king for the weekend both suffering with illness.
Best news I've heard all week looking forward to Brighton game now.

TEAM NEWS
Top-scorer Craig Mackail-Smith will miss out for Brighton after he was substituted with a hamstring injury against Millwall last Saturday.
Right-back Bruno Saltor (groin) and midfielder Andrew Crofts (hamstring) will undergo late fitness checks.
Marlon King and Hayden Mullins are doubts for Birmingham after illness kept them out of training.
Left-back Paul Robinson is set to make his debut while Curtis Davies will return at centre-half.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
• The last three league meetings have been drawn.
• Birmingham have only gained maximum points on Brighton turf once in their history; 1-0 in October 1994 at third league level.
• If two goals are generated in this game, it will take the total produced in competitive matches between the pair to 50.
Brighton & Hove Albion.
• The Seagulls are defending a two point lead at the top of the table, and chasing a sixth successive league win, last achieved in League One in April 2011. They have never registered six wins on the spin at second league level.
• Victory will make it Brighton's best start to a league season in 35 years.
• The club with the tightest defence in the Championship (conceded four goals in seven), have only had their defences breached once at the Amex Stadium.
Birmingham City.
• Lee Clark's side are smarting from last Saturday's 5-0 loss to Barnsley; their heaviest home league defeat in 25 years.
• Birmingham are one of six clubs without an away win in the Championship, and have not picked up maximum points in six on the road since a 3-1 triumph at Burnley on 3 April.
• The current tally of eight points after seven games matches last season's start.

Re: Brighton v Blues - Match Thread & Chat -
personally my football head says No Chance but my Blues head says 2-1 win.
I would love to see some of the younger lads given a chance like Asante/Jervis/Hancox

Brighton & Hove Albion are looking forward to welcoming Birmingham City and their supporters to the Amex tomorrow.
The match kicks off at 5.30pm. Turnstiles into the away end will be open from 3.30pm and we will be serving a local guest ale.
They had a guest ale on last season and was superb
Why cant we have a Guest ale on at St Andrews ?
The beer choice inside St Andrews is Rubbish.
