I have always been one for making my own judgements on a person and for that reason i will give him a chance in the same way i gave Mcleish and Bruce a chance . if it goes wrong then so be it im a Bluenose so im used to it but i think his record stands out and i really think he could be what we need

Here's a few quick facts you may or may not know about the former Huddersfield boss.
* Born Lee Robert Clark
* Date of birth - 26 October 1972 (age 39)
* He played for his boyhood club Newcastle United 195 times scoring 23 times.
* He played for rivals Sunderland until he was spotted with the Newcastle fans wearing a t-shirt with the slogan "Sad Mackem B******". He never played for Sunderland again. He later expressed his regret at the incident.
* He was capped 11 times for England under 21's
* He was part of promotion winning teams for Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham.
* As Huddersfield manager he became the first manager to win three Manager of the Month awards in a single season since Roberto Martinez the 2007-2008 season
* He managed Huddersfield for the second longest domestic unbeaten run in English football history - a whopping 43 games!
hmmm.

Seems he will confirm today.
BTW Stole this from often partisan
Clark's league record with Huddersfield - P116 W62 D36 L24 F216 A134 PTS222 - nearly 2 goals a game belies the eck comparisons, non?

All this in the 3rd division, this is a big step up for him.
It's been well documented that he's 'supposed to be a defensive manager', and if true that will ensure the crowds don't hit the 20k mark all season.

I'll wait and see. I always give any manager the benefit of the doubt, for the time being. Just as I did with, Harry Storer.
Bob Brocklebank.
Arthur Turner.
Pat Beasley.
Gil Merrick.
Joe Mallet.
Stan Cullis.
Freddie Goodwin, and so on.

He wasnt who I would have initially picked but better than some of the so-called 'bookies' candidates.
However hopefully he is a manager that can grow with the job and can build on what chris started (if restraints allow)

Am fairly happy with the appointment of Lee Clark tbh.
Wont be easy for him stepping into Chris Hughton's shoes tho.
