Player Ratings

I assume it's full time and we're out, if not sorry for being hasty but i turned off as soon as i saw LC shouting "don't try and pass it hoof it"

Doyle - 3 - No organisation, beaten by every decent attempt
Spector - 6 - Decent defensive work, nice goal, but undermins by lack of defensive structure and organisation. Oddly moved to LB
Davies - 4 - Shambles
Caldwell - 4 - See Davies
Gordon - 3 - Get Murphy fit asap
Burke - 2 - What has happened to our playeroftheseason? Wayward passes, couldn't beat his man and los the ball everytime he tried to make something happen
Mullins - n/a - THAT bad
Ambrose - 6 - Given the dross around him held his own, praying for a Ambrose-Ravel pairing
Gomis - 5 - Cool, calm but no support around him. Ended up lost and on his own, losing the ball far too easily
Lovenkrands - 5 - Nice goal, good link up, used the ball well when he had it, just didn't get it enough
King - 3 - Sluggish, slow, looked past it and barely a championship player


Redmond - 7 - Lively, ran at the defence and put some excellent crosses. Still too selfish and too eager to shoot though can't blame him given the lack of decent options at the moment
Rooney - n/a - Didn't do anything
Ibanez - 6 - Better than davies but should've scored and shambolic for 3rd goal

Clark - 4 - Spent more time chewing than trying to get the players organised. Agreed with his starting team (Mullins apart) but leaving Zigic on the bench was surprising at best

Doyle - 4 - Time to move him on.

Spector - 4 Good goal but we still aint got a proper right back.

Caldwell - 4 - That was about as worse I have seen him.

Davies - 4 - See above.

Gordon - 3 - A poor signing. a poor left back - a poor performance tonight.

Burke - 6 - Tried his best but out of position in midfield.

Ambrose - 4 - Another poor signing by LC.

Mullins - 3 - Another LC Dud.

Gomis - 5 - Did ok but out of position on left.

King - 3 - Worse I have seen him - no service tho.

Lovenkrands - 2 - Scored then went missing (as usual) for 88 mins -


Lee Clark - 2 - Am all for giving the gaffer a chance but play your better players in their Best positions.

Doyle - 4 - didnt do anything, but not really at fault for the goals
Spector - 6 - My opinion of him has changed since last season, but its sort of like best of a bad bunch
Davies - 4 - Doesnt want to play for Clark imo
Caldwell - 3 - Dire
Gordon - 1 - No idea why we've signed this guy on loan, terrible.
Burke - 4 - First 5 minutes looked bright, went down hill from then
Mullins - 3 - Shit, did better when moved to RB
Ambrose - 3 - Didnt even realise he was on the pitch until about 20 minutes into the game
Gomis - 7 - Had to do it all on his own, ran his arse off, given the fact he had no help/support he did well.
Lovenkrands - 5 - Scored but other than that looked lost
King - 3 - Looked like he couldnt be arsed... becoming a bit of a running theme amongst the squad

This is one thing i very rarely do but on last nights performance how any player could be rated above 6 is beyond me. I'm a firm believer in a player giving 110% whether we win or lose but i can't really see any of them giving that at the moment.
Personally i wasn't King's Biggest fan last year but this year he just seem's to have got worse just can't see what he brings to the team maybe he had what it take's a few years back but certainly not anymore, Funny how people got on Bent's back constantly yet this guy seems to get away with playing bad week in week out .
To many players seem to have Ridgewell's syndrome and like i said the other day get them in now and ask who wants in and who wants out

I know it's idle of me, but I feel there is no point in repeating what has been said above. I can't give any of them more than around 4 maybe 5 at best.
