LEEky Birmingham defence gifts Bolton a vital comeback

Chung-Yong Lee guided Dougie Freedman’s men to their first victory in three with a fine solo goal and a performance the match, leaving Lee Clark “raging” about his side’s “inept performance”.
The South Korean’s mazy dribbles and pinpoint crosses were not enough to stop the away team from scoring however, as a deep floated cross to the far post in the 11th minute was bravely powered home by Nikola Zigic to score his fifth goal of the season and become the first player to score in the first quarter of an hour of any match this season for the Midlands club.
But after heavy pressure from the Trotters, resulting in some good saves by Blues’ goalkeeper Jack Butland, Alonso headed home following an unchallenged run down the left ends with a cross to Mears who returned the favour with a cross to the near post for the Spaniard.
It took just six minutes for Wanderers to double their lead as Chung-Yong Lee skipped past Davies and Caldwell before rounding helpless Butland before elegantly stroking the ball home from a tight angle.
Following some attacking substitutions by Clark, Keith Andrews effectively made the game safe for the hosts as he calmly slotted his 79th minute penalty into the right side of the net, caused by Caldwell conceding his second successive penalty for handball.
The game ended with a red card for two bookable offences for goal scorer Zigic, who pleaded his innocence for a foul on Ream in the last minute of normal time.

Man of the match: Chung-Yong Lee
