77th Anniversary
For what it's worth, and I am not a bit ashamed for bragging about it.
Twenty Sixth of October is the 77th Anniversary of my first game watching the BLUES. I came down on my dads shoulders, age three and half years. The game apparently was Portsmouth and we won 4-0.
Obviously, I remember very little about it, but do remember the colours , Blues in Blue and Portsmouth in Red. Our kid was due and we were all sent out of the house apparently. Typical of our kid though. He didn't arrive until the 29th.
I came down again about a dozen times before the war. Many times with around 50000 to 60000 in the ground. I have missed very few since the war, except during my army service.
Happy times. I wish we could get them back again, but I don't suppose we will. I live in hope.

Well said Trev.
This season is a write off already, but fingers crossed come next season we will have new owners and a new manager. Only then will I stop moaning.

Re: 77th Anniversary
Would you do a blog that I could use on Joys and Sorrows? I think people would be really interested in that.

Now I always think of you when reading "Birmingham City 50 greatest matches" and "The legends of Birmingham City".
