We'll have to play like we did against brighton. Tight but unatractive if we have any hope of getting at least a point from this game.

I'll settle for a draw. And a repeat of Saturdays style of play.
Not in pink please, as there is a clash of colours against Cardiff.

TEAM NEWS
Cardiff City striker Tommy Smith is a major doubt, with Joe Mason ready to replace him.
Midfielder Jordon Mutch will miss the meeting with his old club, so either Don Cowie or Bo-Kyung Kim may come in.
Birmingham City boss Lee Clark may call on new West Brom loan man James Hurst, who is set to play at right-back.
Blues are still without four defenders - Stephen Carr (knee), Paul Caddis (shoulder), David Murphy (hamstring) and Pablo Ibanez (broken toe).
After bouncing back from the 5-0 home defeat by Barnsley to win 1-0 at Championship leaders Brighton on Saturday, to earn their first away win under him, Clark's men now take on the team in second place.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
• Birmingham hold a 26 wins to 22 lead over Cardiff after 60 league clashes, spanning 92 years.
• Kenny Miller scored in Cardiff's 1-0 triumph in last season's corresponding fixture in December 2011, Birmingham's Curtis Davies having been sent off five minutes before the goal.
• Birmingham have lost one of their last five Championship games against the Bluebirds.
Cardiff City
• Cardiff are the meat in the sandwich of three clubs on 16 points at the top of the table, chasing a fifth win in six to give them their best start to a league season in six years.
• They are one of two clubs boasting a 100% home record in this division with 12 points out of 12 (alongside Leicester), and have not lost in 10 league games at the Cardiff City Stadium since Hull's triumphant visit on 13 March.
• Malky Mackay's side have registered more points from clean sheets in this division than any other club, with their four shut-outs yielding 10 points.
Birmingham City
• Mid-table Birmingham travel to Wales in search of their second away win of the season, and 300th on the road in second level league football.
• The current return of 11 points after eight games replicates their tally at this same stage last season.
• Lee Clark's men have only had two shots on target and one off target in each of their last two games. But that was sufficient to gain all three points at leaders Brighton last time out, having crashed 5-0 at home to Barnsley in the previous outing.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Birmingham City manager Lee Clark told BBC WM:
"There's a lot of positivity after our win at Brighton, but it's a quick turnaround for another tough match.
"Cardiff have a very talented group of players and they have a 100% record coming off the back of a great result against Blackpool.
"And, in Craig Bellamy, they've got a player who really shouldn't be in the Championship. If it wasn't for the fact that it was his home-town club who came calling, he'd still be in the Premier League.
"But we've now got three wins and a draw from our last five games and are trying to prove that one horrible result was a one-off."

Re: Cardiff v Blues - Match Thread -
Reasonable start to the game a couple of half chances to BLUES 10 mins gone 0-0
Re: Cardiff v Blues - Match Thread -
1-0 down half time but far from out of the game had a couple of good chances and according to commentary just shaded it despite the goal against.
2nd half much the same both teams going for it and Blues equalise with a Lita goal from inside 6 yard box at this stage blues were the better team but within a few minutes Cardiff took the lead again 2-1 from a disputed linesman decision not to give Cardiff player offside and giving them a throwing instead both teams still had chances but failed to take them.
All in a much improved performance from Blues deserved better but not to be so we move on to Huddersfield .
Cardiff 2 Blues 1 FT

From those that were there I gather we played well. Bet we don't on Saturday, seems the extra pressure always makes for a bad performance at home

Re: Cardiff v Blues - Match Thread -
From what I have heard we were second best for most of the game. When we were 2.1. down Clark stuck with a 4-5-1 formation
Well a defeat on saturday v Huddersfield may not turn out to be a bad thing if it means LC picking up his P45 Monday morning.
