He's bringing in a brute to improve the defence. He is over-the-hill and this signings smacks of a plug a hole to help avoid relegation.

I might be adding 2+2=5 here but another 1 month deal very strange unless the owners know that a deal to move the club on is going to be done sooner rather than later and don't want to commit further at the request of potential buyers

It will defo be about money. With just amonth contract if it doesn't work they get shot. if it works they extend by a month.
