Cricket
South African walking all over England after another poor days play. Pitch is ridiculous, Oval is almost always a flat-track run fest, yet is picked time and time again over Edgbaston. Do they really need 2 tests out of 3 in London?
Anyways, it's shaping up to be a hugely testing summer, might find out whether we truly deserve to be the #1 team in the world

Re: Cricket
typical English cricket
We have the best and deepest bowling attack around
so they prepare a flat batting track just to give South Africa a chance
idiots

Re: Cricket
South Africa have got so much more out of the wicket than England have. This wicket was prepared to spin to help squad, yet it's spin slowly for Swann but giving Tahir loads.
No swing, doesn't suit Anderson and isn't doing much off a length. Yet the extra pace of Steyn, and extra bounce of Morkel is getting something from the pitch. Bresnan is a trundler, although a good one. Finn would've got more out of this pitch than any of Anderson, Broad and Bresnan have

Re: Cricket
Not my strong point Cricket in recent years i did follow it a few years back but with the start of IPL i lost interest in the game.
But i would hazard a guess that the wicket was prepared for damp weather and the sudden drying of the wicket as only helped take the sting out of it to such a state that it could be said to be a dead wicket.
