How are we shaping up......

With a month to go to the start of the new season how do we think we are shaping up and do we still need strengthening.

For me the answer is we are looking fine at the moment and im more than happy with what could be the starting line up but i still think we are a couple of experienced players short at the back , another experienced midfielder and another striker then a few kids into the squad and it would match up to most in the championship.
At the moment we have only 17 players that have been given squad numbers and of those i can still see 2 going at least so we could be even worse off, so for me squad is fine so far but still needs improving with the addition of possible 5-6 players

I'm optimistic for the eason too. Interesting to see you think a few will be going. I hope not as we are very thin on the ground.

Our defence is certainly lacking numbers, and needs topping up. I feel we might be in the loanees dep artment very soon.

You need top add a couple of the youngsters the that list, who I'm sure will get squad numbers.

Good first 11 but a poor squad imo.

Our problem is our rivals.

Wolves, Bolton & Blackburn have much better squads than us.

Cardiff, Watford & Nottingham Forest have better squads + have money to spend.

Leeds, Leicester & Blackpool could all finish above us.

And then the three newly promoted clubs , Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton & Huddersfield will all be up for it.

We havn't bought any decent players and have sold Mutch, a promising youngster and replaced him with a has-been. All our rivals will have improved their squads, ours has got worse. Where as we pick up freebies, loanees and Bosmans, our rivals buy half decent players.

And then PP gets a pat on the back from numerous Blues fans.

We simply got NO ambition, if we did Chris Hughton and Jordan Mutch would still be here. Until PP has gone from BCFC, we got no chance.

Mid-table is my prediction or slightly lower.

For once Kev is right, Mutch was told we had accepted a offer from Cardiff (which to be honest was a good one) and that they had given Cardiff permission to talk to him. If i was Mutch and was told this i would of gone as well no good staying if not wanted he didnt ask to go or want to go but was left feeling he needed to

Also its worth noting, particularly if I'm wrong...one player does not make a team.

Don't disagree with that.

Although it does speak volumes about blues fans when a shit player can be classed as a legend because of one or two goals.

If GB get to the final or 3rd place at the Olympics its odds on that Doyle will start because the season starts 7 days after
