BLUES & FOREST FANS URGED TO HELP HARRY HELP OTHERS AT FOREST FIXTURE
Blues and Forest fans are being urged to “Help Harry Help Others” this Saturday when the charity will be aiming to bolster funds by selling thousands of blue and white & red and White bracelets .
This weekend’s St Andrew’s fixture against Nottingham Forest has been declared Help Harry Help Others Day in order for the club’s official charity partner to raise awareness and valuable funds towards their work.
The club’s principal partner EZE Group has also agreed to share the shirt sponsorship for the game so the Help Harry Help Others distinctive logo will take pride of place on the front of the players’ match-day shirts. As well as the shirt sponsorship EZE Group has also donated VIP hospitality for 10 people and a mascot package to the charity.
HHHO was inspired by 11 years-old Blues fan Harry Moseley, who lost his battle against brain cancer in October 2011. All funds raised will go towards funding vital research into brain cancer and supporting families of children living with all forms of cancer The charity’s mission to help cope, help care and help cure has touched the hearts of millions of people including young children.
To help kick-start fund raising for Saturday’s game, Blues players Nathan Redmond and Callum Reilly visited the charity’s HQ in Church Road, Yardley where they joined volunteer supporters in a busy bracelet making session.
Bracelets have become a powerful symbol for the charity after Harry started making them in the hope that he could raise enough money to fund a cure for brain cancer. Over two years he raised more than £650,000, winning the hearts and minds of others through his determination, love of life and, most of all, his desire to “make a difference.”
Earlier this season a fund raising push at St Andrew’s raised a record breaking £7,500 for the charity.
Harry’s mum and HHHO chairman and founder Georgie Moseley, said: “Harry was a big Blues fan and St Andrew’s was one of the first places he visited to sell the bracelets. We are extremely grateful to the club and sponsors EZE Group for the support they have provided and are really looking forward to the support of Blues fans at the game on Saturday.”
