BBC - The Price of Football Empty BBC - The Price of Football

The BBC have done their review on the price of football for last season. I haven't read the whole report yet, but one thing sticks out:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A certain Birmingham City FC had the 4th Cheapest Day Out and 5th cheapest Matchday Tickets in the Championship last year. Staggering. If you looked at the amount of posts complaining about the price of football and how our owners are so out of touch with reality, this really does put a bit of perspective on this.

A club that came 4th, had one of the best seasons of our history with CH and the European Tour, and played some of the best football in the Championship, and yet was the 4th cheapest in the Championship.

In short, farting To all those complaining about high prices

To be Honest tickets are not that badly priced if you are getting a good enough product for the outlay wherein lies the problem bad football and fans will always think they are being ripped off, Good football and most would gladly pay more. I said a few weeks back when the club were doing the research on why fans are not going that it was more down to the football and ownership of the club rather than the prices fans were being asked to pay .

Yeah Kev. Here's another farting .

It's not as simple as pricing for our crap attendances - it has been the brand of football and the owners which has kept many away.

The pricing is excellent at Blues and the value for money last season was nob on...but this season? no thanks. For me it's never been the pricing it's not even the value for money - it's the investment in time. I don't think it is wrth the time I have to take out to watch the Clark rubbish. Not worth the time --- unless there is a forum booze beforehand.

But still they'll moan and stay away!!!!

The trouble is, football is expensive, but there's no point in blaming or punishing the club for that. Blame TV and players wages.
