Old Programmes Empty Old Programmes

Post  bluenoseghag Sat Sep 22, 2012 12:11 am

I've recently been given some old Blues programmes, in good condition really, including

Blues vs Barcelona - Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final 1960
Blues vs Roma - Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final 1961
Blues vs QPR - League Cup Semi-Final 1967
Blues vs Villa - Joe Gallagher Testimonial 1981

Not sure what to do with them really, whether to sell them or keep them. What do you think, and ho much do you reckon they'd go for if i decided to try and sell them?

Slightly off topic..

But..

Does anyone still buy the Match day programme?

I gave up years ago - would sooner buy one of the fanzines tbh.

What say you?

Keep them. They're not worth much on the market place, but the nostalgia you'll get from them in years to come will be well worth it.

I know at my age, I wish I had kept all my old ones.

One good tip, if you do keep them. Do not under any circumstances keep them in a plastic bag. The plastic doesn't breathe, and will spoil them. Also lay them flat. Do not bend them, for obvious reasons.

Cheers, and enjoy the nostalgia, by looking up old players photos and games etc.seen on the programmes. They might be on the web somewhere.

What a fekker. I have just looked in there and I have many (200+) from 66/67 to 76/77 and those that have a price are just £1 fekkin 25 pence. Some are £2.99 but some are just fekkin .99p.

I thought they'd be worth more than that. Tight-fisted fekkin Brummies, not prepared to part with their cash for some good old history and memorabilia.

I might request them to be put in my coffin.
